Each research field has its own map. Explore its subfields, the types of failures, and assumptions that these experiments have already proven wrong. An assumption that failed in one field may have already been tested or could still hold true for another field.
The Connections map shows all research fields together on one globe. A line joins two experiments from different research areas when they share a target or a failure mode. A target is the gene, protein, or other thing that an experiment tried to change. A failure mode is the reason an experiment failed, for example “stopped by toxicity.” Use the search box or the filters to find connections for one factor or for several factors together.
Click a line to see what the two experiments may mean for each other. Click a dot to read about one experiment.
Fields and subfields follow the OpenAlex topic taxonomy (CC0).
